CM 13 ROM for Galaxy s5 Dous [SM-G900FD] - Tutorial

WELCOME

This thread is about official CM 13 Nightly's for our beloved
Galaxy S5 Duos (SM-G900FD/MD).

Since there is no possibility to report and share certain issues and experiences,
I hope some people will gather here to do so.

Installation

1. be sure you have a custom recovery like TWRP (I use v3.0.0.0 for klte) or similar

Everyone using those Nightly's is recommended to use TWRP 3.0.0.0 only!!!
Wipe/Clear data/cache function is not working in TWRP 3.0.2.1 for me!!!

2. download desired NIGHTLY and GAPPS via link from above

3. put files on your SD-card and enter recovery mode via 3 button-combo or extended menu

3. wipe data/cache/dalvik, format system

4. flash Nightly

5. flash GAPPS (if Aroma is faster than 10 seconds, flash again. Aroma full installer aborts atm)

6. wipe cache/dalvik again (optional)

7. restart and have fun with your NIGHTLY 

Info

After first install, you can use the CM OTA Update Tool in Settings -->About Phone --> CyanogenMod-Updates

Due to little changes its not necessary to format system every time you flash a new Nightly.

Always wipe cache and dalvik to prevent apps from crashing.

Xposed Framework for Android 6.0.X Marshmallow

1. install XposedInstaller3.0alpha4_*.apk on your device

2. reboot to recovery

3. flash Xposed v83-sdk23-arm or higher for Android 6.0 and reboot system

4. install modules through Xposed App

5. active module in Xposed App and reboot

tested:

- Lockscreen Mod for MM --> works great (view lockscreen screenshot)

atm I use Deep Darkness CM12/CM13 Theme and Clix Icon Pack
